Winter at Endicott College

As some of you followers know, this summer I started working at Endicott College .
Endicott College is a four-year, private college located in Beverly, Massachusetts
A distinguishing feature of the college is the use of required internships to link classroom and off-campus work experience using an applied learning concept.

My Dad grew up in Warren Ohio and is the oldest of 6 children.
From his siblings there are 25 of us first cousins.
Now many of the cousins have their own families and some are even grandparents,
which makes this makes this ONE BIG Italian FAMILY.
Here are photos from my recent trip to Warren Ohio in November 2013.

365 Shades of Grey (107:365)

Along the Shores of Great Bay Estuary
Greenland, NH
Located within the Gulf of Maine watershed, the Great Bay Estuary is a drowned river valley composed of high-energy tidal waters, deep channels and fringing mudflats. The entire estuary extends inland from the mouth of the Piscataqua River between Kittery, Maine, and New Castle, New Hampshire through Little Bay into Great Bay proper at Furber Strait, a distance of 12 miles (19 km). The Great Bay Estuary is a tidally-dominated system and is the drainage confluence of three major rivers, the LampreySquamscott, and Winnicut. Four additional rivers flow into the system between Furber Strait and the open coast: the CochecoSalmon FallsBellamy, and Oyster rivers.

I am so very fortunate to have this view from my office window.
This is looking from over Beverly Harbor from the back windows at College Hall, Endicott College.
These are two different sunsets this week.
Simply Breath taking!!

The Matthews Family

A few weeks ago I did a fun family photo session with the Matthews Family.
2  1/2 year old James was such a firecracker full of lots of energy.
He loved being photographed and especially loved saying "pizza pie"!!

Reid's Ride Benefit

Reid Sacco passed away in April 2005, at the age of 20, after a two-year battle with sarcoma.  In his short life, he inspired and touched an incredible number of people with his courage, perseverance, ambition, hope, humor, intelligence, humility, generosity, and kindness.

He had many dreams for the future, but in the last few months of his life these dreams merged into one:  To beat his cancer so that he could finally go to Columbia University where he had been accepted just days before he was diagnosed in April 2003.

Driven by his inspiration, the Foundation is  carrying  this dream forward to give to others, in the form a non-profit charitable organization that will support scholarship and research.   The Foundation has set up this organization, which is called  the "Reid R. Sacco AYA Cancer Alliance", in Reid's honor, to make sure that other young adults like Reid will never need to abandon their dreams of college and a long, healthy life ahead.   The Alliance will support those who aspire to excellence in education.  It will support research programs that aspire to conquer cancers like the one that took Reid's life.

Kevin Dillion, Reid's cousin, held a benefit at Maple Street Tavern in Danvers, to raise money for the 9th Annual Reid's Ride Bike-a-thon.  Thanks to all those are attending and donated their time, money and talent.
