Shades of Purple

It finally dawned on me, that the best way to use my macro lens is to use a tripod

Had the pleasure of photographing an event at a beautiful home in Beverly Cove.
Imagine having your morning coffee/evening drink to this site every day. So beautiful, peaceful and calming...just what I needed after a few busy crazy weeks

On a side note - Just as the speaking part of the event started, the sun decided to peak out from the clouds and illuminate the sail boats in the distance.

Monochrome Waltham

In My world of on-line photo sharing, Monday's are tagged "Monochrome Monday" or "Macro Monday".
This Monday, June 14th, I decided to post a monochrome photo. This imaged is from my photo walk in
Waltham, MA with the flickr group "Boston Photo Mob".
It was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon - walking around the city, photographing and
meeting new friends.

Congratulations!!

Today is the day that we celebrate my niece's high school graduation and all her accomplishments...and wish her continued success and growth as she heads off to college in the Fall!!

We work well together

As some of you know that my love for photography has lead me to FLICKR.com which is a photo sharing website.  Since I joined flickr almost 4 years ago, I have met, both in person and virtually, some wonderful photographers who I can now call my friends.  I have learned a lot and I have shared a lot. Flickr is such a fun and education experience for me.  And the one place that i can go to for inspiration, encouragement, laughter, smiles and a general feeling of happiness.

I do a lot of photo walk-abouts with photo friends, but yesterday was my first time doing a photowalk with flickr's "Boston Photo Mob" group.  We met in Waltham and there were 10 of us. Two  friends of mine went and the others were all new friends.  It was such a fun experience and despite the drizzly rain...We all had fun and got some awesome photos.  Am looking forward to my next outing with this group and meeting more new friends.

Photojournalists....

I love taking photos of fellow photographers doing their thing.
In the modern age of digital cameras, it was fun to watch this man using his large format camera on a tripod. After each shot he took he had to change the large negative...so different than the quickness of digital

This guy had a Canon 5D with a tilt shift lens.
He saw me watching him and offered to show me the results of this lens. very cool
