Old Danvers State Hospital Road Panoramic

Playing around with making shots for a Panorama and stitching them together in Photoshop..what fun.
This was from 4 images shot in Vertical mode. I shot it this evening just before the sun went down so the colors were actually pretty dull...played around with levels and shadows etc...(click on photo to enlarge)

NESOP Week #3 Assignment - The Decisive Moment

"Photography is not like painting," Cartier-Bresson told the Washington Post in 1957. "There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative," he said. "Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever.

"the decisive moment, it is the
simultaneous recognition, in a fraction
of a second, of the significance of an
event as well as the precise organization
of forms which gives that event
its proper expression."

Happy Birthday Scott

Today is my son's birthday. I have been so blessed to have this wonderful boy/young man in my life for 22 years. Things have not always been a bed of roses, but at the end of everyday, I have a full warm heart, cause I Love this boy! And now at 22 years old, I know that I have been the best mother I could be for him, And I am so proud of the man that he is.
The words that come to my mind when I think Of my son Scott are - Kind, gentle, sincere, loving, intelligent, thoughtful, insightful, deep, wordsmith, a great friend. ....i could go on and on...And oh ya...he gives the best hugs!!

Sometimes parenthood can be so hard, heart wrenching and sadly emotional, but I would not change this experience with Scott for the world. Because throughout all the heartache it has also been full of joy and laughter and some very very proud moments.
I love you Scott.....I am off to Umass Amherst today to spend the Day with Scott and his girlfriend...
