72/365 - Fracture the story goes something like this.
Last evening I went out shooting by myself, drove around Salem, tooks photos of flowers and boys playing basketball. Then I drove to Danvers, down the port area and took some nice shots of the boats on the Danvers River. As I was walking back to the car, I stepped of the sidewalk and stepped wrong and I went down...hard. No worries camera was fine. But my ankle that is another story. I hobbled painfully back to the jeep and every push on the gas pedal and brake sent excruciating pain into my ankle and up my leg. Made it home...hobbled in the super neighbor Janet brought over and ice pack....went to bed.

This morning..swelling went down a little...but still could not walk or put pressure on it. So hubby took me to the Hospital for xrays...Prognosis...Hair line fracture in the right ankle and a broken second toe on my left foot....well at least the Canon 40D is fine!!
so..i have my ankle wrapped, have to wear this aircast, have crutches and have to see the ortheopedic doctor on Wednesday . looks like no GOLF today!!
How was YOUR day??

These white and pink Lily of the Valley flowers are from a co-worker's garden. The pink flowered plant came from her grandmother's garden and has moved from numerous states....and now grows yearly at my co-worker's home.

61/365 - The Webb Street Project Day 2

....replacement of the septic system distribution box today,Because when it was replaced 11 years ago, it was done wrong. Luckily this is just a minor project compared to the original diagnosis of replacing the entire septic system...see yesterdays photo for full explination

60/365 - The Webb Street Project the story goes something like this....About a year ago, one of the home owners in our condo complex sold their unit and the condo association is required to have the septic system inspected. Well....After careful inspection, the company told us the our septic system did not pass the Title V. Since a lot of work has been done on this particular system in the past 10 years, our management company questioned the results and had it inspected again...the company came back again with the same conclusion. So the condo association spent $6,000 to have a company design a new septic system. We put the construction of the system out to bid and today the construction of the new Septic System started.

The backhoe operater started digging...then.....STOP!!!! WAIT!!! "There is nothing wrong with this Septic System"....."Why are we doing this?" The company put a stop to the work, called the town Health inspector who agreed!!! UGH

Now we have a backhoe in the front yard, a dug up lawn, and a Management company and the Condo trustees (me being the treasurer) wondering..."NOW WHAT?"???????

But the good news is that we don't have to spend $25,000 for a new system...but the bad news is that we have already spent about $7,000 for the inspection and design.

45/365 - Yellow Explosion

What a diversity of creative wanderers: Weeds.
I enjoy their beauty and variety, and do nothing to reap their rewards.
I neither hoe, nor plant, nor water, nor fertilize, nor prune ... and they come and go in lovely profusion as the seasons move.
Often a pleasure, sometimes a pain in the wrong place; and always an example of the wondrous assertion of Being.
